the first warm days of spring have arrived! | palos park, homewood

Monday, May 30th, 2011

we just had our first warm day of spring, and in some parts of chicagoland the temperature reached 82 degrees! where you tempted to use your cooling system? maybe it’s just me, but the first warm days of spring make me what to open up all of the windows and air out the staleness of cold seasons.  enjoy the mild weather while it lasts, and don’t waste your money starting up the cooling system too early. you will have plenty of hot chicago days when your cooling system will be a life saver. let’s face it, during the heat of the warm seasons the weather demands that we use our air conditioners, and though they can make our homes very comfortable, nothing beats the feeling of a cool breeze off of the lake.

get ready for warm seasons!

before the hot days arrive, may i suggest getting your cooling system tuned up by your comfort specialist from four seasons? after a long cold cold seasons i want to make sure that i’m ready for the warm seasons heat, and you should too!  i’ve already made an appointment to have my friends at four seasons stop by to understood and tune up my a/c, and i also ordered a box of filters for my heater and a new uv bulb for my air sanitizer. when the warm seasons heat hit us (and you know it will) i’ll be ready. will you?

Change Your A/C, Furnace Filter Regularly

Tuesday, February 22nd, 2011

Check your filter every month, especially during heavy use months (winter and summer). If the central air filter looks dirty after a month, change it. At a minimum, change the filter every 3 months. A dirty filter will slow down air flow and make the system work harder to keep you warm or cool — wasting energy. A clean filter will also prevent dust and dirt from building up in the system — leading to expensive maintenance and/or early system failure. Help keep your furnace and central air conditioning system running at it’s peak all year long and ensure home comfort.
