Cheapest Price Doesn’t Mean Best Value

Monday, February 20th, 2012

I’ve invested quite a bit of money into my home. I want it to be nice and I want it to be comfortable. When I realized our furnace and air conditioning system was due for replacement I wanted to make to best investment for my home. I initially was driven by price. This is an item which offers no ascetic value. What I came to realize is we were looking for the best value. Our home is our sanctuary. We want comfort. We want lower utilities. We want a better resale value. It’s agreeable to most people that utilities are going to continue to rise in cost. Purchasing a heating and air conditioning system with the best efficiency saves us money. High efficiency furnaces and air conditioners use less fuel and energy which results in lower heating & cooling cost.

Now is a good to make a new furnace or air conditioner purchase, the federal government is making certain high efficiency products eligible for a tax credit of up to $1500. If you are interested in saving money and getting high quality heating & cooling products installed by a qualified contractor, consult your local Better Business Bureau, consumer review sites such as Yelp, and get referrals from your friends and neighbors.
