First, my own bias on the topic. In my mind Lennox variable speed furnaces are truly the best value around, but getting away from the brand considerations, what are the benifits of a variable furnace anyway and why bring it up when it’s not 30 degrees below zero out?

some people make the mistake of calling their local handyman or a friend of a friend to make ac repairs. others turn to ads on the internet such as craigslist in an attempt to save money. beware, not only are their many scams through ads for these services but you also are likely to be throwing way your money if you choose not to go with a qualified and licensed heating, ventilation, and air conditioning craftspeople. the benefit of using a licensed heating and cooling business to make ac repairs is that you get a trained and certified rebuild craftspeople that comes to your house and a business that will stand behind its services. if what you want is to save money, look no further than our coupons page on our website to save money on repairs. you can also purchase a maintenance program which will provide around the clock maintenance on your cooling system or heater to help keep your system running higher quality and longer, saving you money in needless repairs down the line. the added bonus is that if you take part in the four seasons heating and air conditioning maintenance program if your system ever needs rebuild you automatically have priority when it comes to scheduling a rebuild service.

Free Money – High Efficiency Furnaces & Central Air Conditioners
Sunday, February 13th, 2011Essentially, there is free money out there for those seeking to purchase a new high efficiency heating & cooling system such as a new furnace or new central air conditioner. Once the program runs out of money, you are out of luck. Make sure you use an HVAC company that is participating in the program or you won’t qualify for the rebate. Most rebates are taken off price when purchased, so you don’t have to wait for a check in the mail. The contractor is reimbursed by the State Rebate Program and is responsible for filing the necessary paperwork.
So if your thinking about buying a furnace or air conditioner, don’t delay, with all the incentives you won’t get a better price on high efficiency equipment. If you were to buy a high efficiency air conditioner & furnace you would get $350 for the furnace and $500 for the A/C from the state of Illinois and $1500 tax credit from the federal government. Plus most heating & cooling contractors are running specials this time of year due to the mid weather. But remember this is the calm before the storm, most Illinois and Chicago residents know we do not experience 2 mild summers in a row. (more…)
