Saturday, June 4th, 2011Winter Furnace Maintenance Tips
Tuesday, March 15th, 2011It’s always best to have a technician come to your home yearly to do a maintenance check on your furnace. Now is still a good time to schedule this check up as the furnace has been running for a few months and will probably be running for a couple months until spring finally comes. While a certified technician from Four Seasons will do a complete maintenance check of your system and recommend any changes that may be necessary there are a few things you can do to help your furnace run more efficiently before or after the service technician comes to your home.
1. Allow for air to move freely by keeping warm air registers and return
air openings clear of furniture, rugs, and drapes.
2. Replace or clean your furnace filter regularly during the heating season.
3. Don’t store or use flammable vapors and liquids around a gas furnace.
This includes cleaning supplies and paint!
4. Make sure you have a carbon monoxide detector near the furnace. If you
do not, ask your Four Seasons technician about purchasing one and the best place for installation around your furnace.
These are 4 easy things you can do to ensure you own safety and to be sure that your furnace has an opportunity to run its best. Remember if you are uncomfortable with checking your furnace on your own, don’t hesitate to call Four Seasons and we’ll get a technician to your home at your earliest convenience to give it a good check for you!!
